Pope Francis appointed Luis Manuel Pérez Raygoza, Héctor Mario Pérez Villarrea and Francisco Daniel Rivera Sánchez as new auxiliary bishops for the Archdiocese of Mexico.

This was announced today by the Archdiocese through a statement, which indicated that the designations were published in L’Osservatore Romano this January 25, at noon, time of Rome.

The archbishop primate of Mexico, Carlos Aguiar Retes, expressed his approval with the designations and informed that the ordination of the new auxiliary bishops will take place on March 19, in the Basilica of Guadalupe.

The cardinal asked to pray for the bishops who will join Carlos Samaniego López and Salvador González Morales, for this team to promote in the Archdiocese the projects required to meet the challenges of the new times.
