Cinepolis closes its theaters in Mexico due to COVID-19


The company indicates that the money of programmed tickets will return

All Cinépolis complexes in the country will stop operating, but will return the money to those who had bought tickets for functions scheduled in the following days.

Through a statement, the exhibiting company assures, also, that there will be no adjustment of personnel during the health emergency.

“If you purchased tickets for functions that will not take place, please contact 552122 6060 or email [email protected] to request a refund of your purchase or tickets for new functions once we resume operations” , indicates the text.

“These measures do not contemplate any adjustment of personnel and have the certainty that, as we take the actions that allow us to adapt to the challenges that this new reality presents to us, we will always do so with our collaborators in mind,” he details.

The statement mentions Cinepolis Klic’s digital platform as a means of finding content.

Of the more than 7,000 screens in the country, Cinépolis has more than 50 percent with 3,988, according to figures from the National Chamber of the Film Industry.
