Juchitan. – Residents of 25 Ayuujk communities of the Lower Mixe, which belong to the municipalities of Oaxaca and Veracruz, announced that they will block the highway and the Transisthmian Train if the Federal Electricity Commission ( CFE ) maintains its refusal to pay the Right of Way (DDV) that crosses their territories, which in some cases is a 20-year debt.

Through a video broadcast last night, the protesters addressed the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, to inform him that they will go to the National Palace to expose the unfulfilled commitments of the CFE, which in its line expansion program affected communal lands and does not want to pay the DDV.

The inhabitants are from the ejidos that belong to the Oaxacan municipalities of Asunción Ixtaltepec, El Barrio de la Soledad, Matías Romero and San Juan Guichicovi, as well as from the towns of San Martín and Nuevo Morelos, Veracruz. Annoyed, they announced that in the next few days they will close the passage on the Transístmica and the Interoceanic Train.
