Veracruz certifies 20 companies as Child Labor Free

The Department of Labor, Social Security and Productivity of the state of Veracruz awarded the Child Labor Free distinction to 20 companies affiliated with the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (Canacintra) in the south of the state. This recognition highlights their commitment to the eradication of child employment and the promotion of safe and healthy work environments.

Among the award-winning companies, those that obtained the Favorable Work Environment award were also recognized, which measures the positive impact on productivity, creativity and employee well-being. The companies distinguished with this recognition include La Barra de Alvarado, Braskem Idesa, Sistemas Dinámicos del Golfo, Atenea Estudio and ADS Construcciones, all of them belonging to Canacintra Coatzacoalcos.

Since June of this year, the participating companies have been preparing themselves through training programs based on a needs diagnosis and conferences on human development. A perception assessment was also carried out on the importance of generating healthy work environments both collectively and individually.

The Child Labor Free label recognizes policies and good practices to prevent child employment and protect adolescents of permitted working age, while the Favorable Work Environment awards companies that have successfully implemented actions that improve workplace well-being.
