During a performance of the Passion of the Christ in the municipality of Tomatlán, Veracruz, an actor suffered a serious injury while participating in the Stations of the Cross of Jesus.
The incident occurred this Good Friday when the actor playing Barabbas, while attempting to step down from a platform during his performance, fell and ended up fracturing his leg.

A video circulating on social media shows the exact moment in which the actor playing Barabbas fell and subsequently broke his leg.
The incident occurred when Barabbas, who was freed by Pontius Pilate in place of Jesus, celebrated his release. However, as the actor tried to flee, he jumped off the platform, but miscalculated his jump, landing incorrectly and ultimately fracturing his right leg.
In the images, those attending the Passion of Christ performance tried to help the actor, but upon seeing the seriousness of the situation, they decided to call emergency services, who immediately responded to his aid.
Civil Protection paramedics stabilized the actor and transported him to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
