What is the Turibús Sierra del Café tour like?

The trip organized by Turibus lasts two days and one night.

On the first day, you will visit the capital of Veracruz: Xalapa.

Between Its attractions include the 17th-century Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, the peaceful Los Lagos public park, the forest-lined University Zone, the Xallitic neighborhood with its cobblestone streets and alleys, and the incredible Xalapa Anthropology Museum (MAX) with its collection of Olmec and Totonac artifacts.

Xalapa is a city with many cultural attractions, with good restaurants and cafes.

After a day of sightseeing, you’ll spend the night in a hotel in Xalapa.

For the second day, you’d better prepare your senses—your taste and smell: the first stop is on the outskirts of Xalapa, at Finca Roma, founded in 1902.

Its main attraction is the Bola de Oro Museum, an immersive, sensorial tour that explains the entire coffee production process.

See the seedbeds where the plantation begins; walk along paths through the dense vegetation; see the ancient and modern machinery for grinding and roasting the beans; and explore the the museum; and finally, visit the Coffee Lab: here, baristas lead tastings, workshops, and demonstrations on the different extraction methods.

The experience and tour culminate with a walk through the magical town of Coatepec, the “coffee capital,” with pretty cobblestone streets lined with colonial houses and red-tile roofs.

There, you can visit the Coffee and Orchid Museums, sit in one of the cafes to taste authentic local flavors, and climb Cerro de las Culebras for a panoramic view from its lookout point.

Turibus Sierra del Café Tour Dates

For the remainder of 2025, there are three dates for the Turibus Sierra del Café tour on weekends: from Saturday, October 11th to Sunday, October 12th, from Saturday, November 8th to Sunday, November 9th, and from Saturday, December 13th to Sunday, December 14th.

The bus can be boarded at five locations in Mexico City: Auditorio Nacional (8:00 a.m.), Angel of Independence (8:10 a.m.), Reforma 22 (8:15 a.m.), Hemiciclo a Juárez (8:20 a.m.), and Zócalo (8:30 a.m.).

How much does the Turibus Sierra del Café tour cost?

The cost of the tour depends on the type of hotel room chosen. There are four options for guests over 13 years of age:

For a single room, the cost is $3,167 pesos per person; for a double room, it’s $2,600 pesos; for a triple room, it’s $2,537 pesos; and for a quadruple room, it’s $2,474 pesos.

For children ages 4 to 12, the cost is $2,411 pesos each.
