Moda Mexico announced the details of its 2026 edition, which will include catwalks, artistic presentations, and the participation of guest designers
On April 26, 2026, the city of Xalapa will host the eighth edition of Moda México, a platform dedicated to the projection of national and international creative talent. The event will take place at 6:00 p.m. at the UV-UBI Hawk’s Nest and is expected to have an attendance of more than 2,000 people.
With 13 years of experience, Moda México has developed as a non-profit project focused on generating exhibition spaces for designers, models, and creators linked to the fashion industry and the performing arts.
Catwalk and creative proposals
The 2026 edition will feature a catwalk of 420 square meters, in which seven designers and brands will participate: Boots x Alejandra Cerecedo, Xavier Arcos, Thalía Garla, José Luis Pimentel, Brenda Aguilar, Carousel with a children’s catwalk entitled Julieta, as well as the designer Hipstah, and surprise guest designers. The collections come mainly from Xalapa and other regions of the state of Veracruz.
During the presentation of the program, the organizing committee, headed by Thalía Garla, general director; Jorge Córdoba Davy, general producer and creative director, and Arely Muñoz, executive producer, announced the logistical and creative details of this edition.
Performing arts and future projection
The program will include live artistic presentations by ABC Cuban Dance Institute, Dance Dreams Studio, Cuban Dance Ensemble, and artist Sally G, with the integration of different scenic disciplines into the catwalk format.
Throughout its seven previous editions, Moda México has promoted more than 1,000 talents, including designers, models, photographers, stylists, makeup artists and audiovisual creators. As part of its medium-term projection, the organizing committee reported that it is working on strengthening the Mexico Fashion Academy, aimed at the continuous training of models and creatives, as well as on the process to constitute itself as a Civil Association.
Another of the axes proposed is the promotion of the textile heritage of Veracruz, through the link between contemporary designers and artisan communities, to reinterpret traditional clothing and expand its presence in new markets.
