Montserrat Ortega Ruiz is a State Representative (Proportional Representation) for the National Action Party (PAN) in the state of Veracruz.

Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Veracruz through the University of the Gulf of Mexico.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES: a Master of Laws in Private Law from Cristóbal Colón University; a Master of Laws in Notarial Law from the College of Veracruz; and studies in gender, electoral law, parliamentary law, and human rights.

She is a National Councilor for the National Action Party PAN.
She has held positions such as: Acting Civil Registry Officer in Xalapa; General Manager of a real estate company; and Litigation Attorney.

Montse Ortega, who resides in Veracruz, recently stated that the Morena-led government in her state auctioned off 94 vehicles and ambulances at prices far below their market value. However, she raised concerns: participation in these transactions is limited to individuals and companies invited by the government itself.

If these are public assets, the question is simple: why not allow any citizen to participate on equal terms? Transparency must not only exist, but it must also be perceived as such.

This, instead of being a normal administrative measure, appears to be a process that only benefits members of the Morena party, when it should be open to the entire public for the good of society as a whole, not just a privileged few.
