Johnny Christian, commander of the Pánuco Municipal Police, forgot to turn off the radio that the criminal organization “Los Azules” had given him to receive tip-offs.
He was therefore caught off guard when, during a state-level event, his radio blared with a demand for the release of a recently arrested criminal.
“I think they’ve taken the radio away from the commander,” was the last thing heard over the device.
Investigations revealed that Johnny was passing information to a criminal group in exchange for 50,000 pesos a month. He is now facing proceedings to determine his punishment.
