The Costa Esmeralda Fest 2024 was canceled in its entirety, as announced this Saturday, September 7, by the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) of Veracruz, and on the event’s official website. The music festival was to be held from Friday, September 6 to Sunday, September 8, and although at first only the cancellation of the first day was contemplated, it is now confirmed that it will be canceled in its entirety.
“Due to the first cold front of the season, the activities scheduled for this Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8 of the Costa Esmeralda Fest 2024 are suspended. The above, in accordance with the recommendations of the Civil Protection Secretariat in order to safeguard the integrity of the public, the organization team and the artistic talent,” says the official message.
The Costa Esmeralda Fest has become a benchmark in musical events in Veracruz. It is celebrated free of charge on the beaches of the Costa Esmeralda bar, between the towns of La Vigueta and El Palmar, in the municipality of Tecolutla, north of Veracruz.
