The Subdirectorate of Meteorological Studies and Forecasts of the state Civil Protection Secretariat indicated that the NOAA NWS Weather Prediction Center increases the probability of a low-pressure center developing this weekend in southern Mexico and reaching tropical depression status by the middle of next week to 50%.

At the moment, only the activity generating a tropical wave is observed southwest of Jalisco-Michoacán.
