With a strategy focused on offering more complete, accessible, and dynamic experiences, the municipality of Orizaba has strengthened its tourism offerings for the 2026 Easter season, focusing on integrating its main attractions into packages designed for both visitors and locals.
The Tourism Department announced that starting this holiday period, new systems will be implemented to allow for easier and more organized exploration of various emblematic sites in this designated “Pueblo Mágico” (Magical Town), thus consolidating its position as one of the most attractive destinations in Veracruz.
The department head, Lina Morante Lozano, explained that the intention is to facilitate visitor mobility, optimize time, and create a more enriching experience where culture, history, and entertainment are combined into a single offering.
One of the main new initiatives is the “MuseOri” Museum Pass, which, for an affordable price, will allow visitors to explore iconic spaces such as the Palacio de Hierro (Iron Palace), the Poliforum, and the Historic Center.
This initiative aims to incentivize cultural tourism, a sector that has gained momentum in Orizaba in recent years thanks to the restoration of historical sites and the creation of new venues.
While individual access options to these sites remain available, the new pass offers an alternative that facilitates entry and promotes more comprehensive tours within the city.
For those seeking a different experience, the Adventure Pass has also been launched, combining two of the most popular attractions: the cable car and Casavegas.
This limited-edition package includes skip-the-line access to the cable car, one of the city’s iconic tourist attractions, as well as admission to Casavegas, allowing visitors to enjoy a more streamlined and complete experience.
This type of offering responds to the growing demand for experiential tourism, where visitors seek not only to see a destination but to fully immerse themselves in it.
Another offering is the “City Tour,” a guided tour of the Historic Center that will allow visitors to discover the main points of interest in approximately one hour.
With scheduled departures from the Palacio de Hierro (Iron Palace), municipal guides will offer general information about the most representative sites, allowing participants to decide later which places to visit in more detail.
This approach aims to attract both tourists and local residents interested in rediscovering the city from a different perspective.
The implementation of these packages is part of a broader strategy to strengthen tourism during one of the most important seasons of the year.
Holy Week represents one of the peak tourist seasons for Orizaba, due to its cultural offerings, infrastructure, and strategic location in the High Mountains region.
With these new experiences, the municipality seeks not only to increase visitor arrivals but also to extend their stay and generate greater economic benefits for sectors such as hotels, restaurants, and retail.
