Mass robbery in the Veracruz Maltrata mountains caught on video

The governor of Veracruz, Rocio Nahle, has stated that security is guaranteed in the state highways.

But the images caught on video say otherwise. While the government insists that the truckers’ protests “have no basis,” a new video recorded on the morning of Wednesday, April 22nd, on the Orizaba-Puebla highway shows the terror that is experienced daily.

What the video reveals:
Criminal power: Men with long guns and hoods are assaulting private vehicles (Jeeps) and forcibly removing truck drivers.
Impact area: Kilometer 221, San José Cuyachapa-Esperanza section.
Lack of authority: In the 58 seconds of recording, not a single patrol car from the National Guard or the SSP (State Police) is seen.

Truckers have stopped work demanding security, and the official response has been disdain. Today, a brave driver recorded what the authorities don’t want to see: the total control of crime on our highways.

Is the security claim “invalid” after seeing these images?
